Intern Testimonials

Our past interns had a fantastic time at LH&A. Read more!

“From my time working with Lynn at LH&A, I learned that it’s all about connecting with people. In an interview, asking questions to your interviewer such as ‘why do you enjoy working at this company’ demonstrates your interest in their experience and can help you garner helpful tidbits about the work environment itself.

While the interview is a great space to showcase your ability to be personable, personal touches are critical even before you get an interview. When you submit a cover letter, make sure that you tailor it to the job you are applying for. Have an experience that you think would apply to the job? Include it! Always incorporate words from the actual job description to demonstrate to your prospective employer that you thoroughly read the job description and care about the little details.

All in all, it’s about the personal touches!”

“Lynn is such a fantastic mentor. She brought her infectious energy to every meeting we had. I could tell that she was invested in our success as interns because she allowed us to develop whatever skills we were interested in developing. I am grateful for the experience I gained working on the LH&A website, rewriting the internship manual and designing graphics. Working at LH&A is very flexible, fulfilling and fun!”

“Working with Lynn as an LH&A intern was nothing short of an incredible learning experience. I grew personally and professionally in a plethora of ways. Her patience and diligence inspire all who witness her creative process. Lynn made me a more confident member of the workforce and helped me recognize my gifts. LH&A is a highly supportive and creative work environment. Lynn’s dedication to her clients is admirable. We all have unique and valuable perspectives and gifts; it sometimes takes an exceptional mentor like Lynn to help you recognize that. Lynn is committed, adaptable and genuine. Interning with her was one of the best decisions I ever made.”

“I was an intern at Lynn Hazan & Associates, in my second year of university and was under Lynn’s direct supervision. I can attest to Lynn’s passion and dedication as both a recruiter and teacher.

Not only did I learn a great deal about recruitment within the marketing and communications field but also received exceptional guidance from Lynn about the corporate world. I learned important workplace communication skills, experience meeting deadlines, and took on projects that broadened my skill set.  At the same time, though, I was given the freedom to come up with my own ideas and express my creativity to the firm in different ways, which helped me gain confidence to enter the corporate workforce.  It is this commitment, passion, and drive that led me to grow outside of my college classes and prepare me for the real world, not only as a future employee in the workforce but as a female in the workforce.

I am forever grateful to Lynn for taking the time to enlighten me about all aspects of the workforce. She was able to sustain her philosophy of “you teach me, I teach you” by also treating her interns as friends and partners. I must also mention that Lynn placed me in my current position that I have been at for nearly 2 years at a medical association after I graduated from college. Lynn continues to maintain excellent relationships with her clients, candidates, and interns which portrays her drive to go above and beyond in her work.  I continue to feel support from Lynn beyond my time as an intern at her firm and regard her as an inspiring influence for Chicago women!”

“I interned at Lynn Hazan and Associates during my senior year Winter Break of college. In that short period of time, I gained valuable experiences that allowed me to be the best candidate for my current job. Lynn taught me how to effectively network with professionals in the industry. For example, she showed me how to choose the best people to connect with and the right groups to join on LinkedIn. She is a great teacher and prepares interns extremely well for future employment opportunities. It was truly a privilege working for Lynn and I would highly recommend working for her.”
