Lynn Hazan, President, Lynn Hazan & Associates, Inc. has worked as an executive recruiter for 37 years. The year 2022 marks her 22nd anniversary as President of LH&A. She specializes in communications, marketing and consulting searches for clients throughout the U.S., with a special emphasis on the Chicago area and Midwest.
Her clients are Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial companies, PR and advertising agencies, trade associations and not for profits. Clients represent companies in technology, consulting, packaged goods, food, insurance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical education, financial, legal and professional services, transportation, real estate, architecture, interior design and home furnishings, industrial products, manufacturing, publishing, advertising and public relations. Candidates are placed in consumer, business-to-business and non-profit sectors.
Lynn’s philosophy as a recruiter represents what she calls relationship marketing. She maintains long-term relationships with both clients and candidates to ensure successful placements.
She was recently interviewed via video and podcasts including, “Corporate to Entrepreneur”, with Lisa Williams, “Intercultural Talk” with Deanna Shoss, and “Women’s Leadership Podcast series with Scott Becker. Lynn was also cited in the Chicago Tribune’s article “ Standing Out in a Crisis Economy”.
Lynn is heavily involved in the professional community. She was awarded the Life Time Achievement Award by DePaul University’s Driehaus College of Business- Marketing Advisory Council in June 2018. Lynn also served as Past-President for DePaul University’s Marketing Advisory Council and is currently on its executive board. She has spoken at Ragan Communications’ Speechwriter and Corporate Communications Conferences, BMA National Conference, Marketing Roundtable of the Booth GSB, NSENG, Northwestern University, Loyola, DePaul, Columbia College, Associated Colleges of Illinois, IABC, PRSA, Black Public Relations Society, Chicago Women in Publishing, PMI, and for various networking and professional groups.
Lynn is an active member of the Chicago BMA (Member of the Year for 2011-2012 and New Member of the Year for 2003-2004). Lynn also volunteers for Chicago Innovation.
In June 2003, Hazan was recognized as a Chicagoan of the Year by the Chicago Jewish News in recognition of her humanitarian relief work on behalf of Ethiopian Jewry.
A professional storyteller, Lynn is also a published writer. She performs throughout the Chicago area, United States, Canada, Mexico, the former Soviet Union, England, Ethiopia and Israel for audiences of all ages. She is a guest presenter at the famed Rancho La Puerta in Mexico. Lynn also conducts a variety of workshops, including corporate storytelling for clients, universities and professional organizations.
A native of Montreal, Canada, Lynn graduated with a B.A. from McGill University, Montreal, Canada and an M.A. from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
